HOWLING GROUNDS – EVENT OBJECTIVE

- Acquire a Red Envelope Offering in the Bloodweb and play it in a trial

- Each Red Envelope Offering played will generate 1 Lunar Hook and 1 Lunar Generator

- As a Killer, hook a Survivor on a Lunar Hook for the first time to gain 1 Burnt Coin

- As a Survivor, complete repairs on a Lunar Generator to grant all Survivors 1 Golden Coin

- If you played a Red Envelope, you will also score bonus Bloodpoints when the above conditions are met

- Once you have enough Burnt Coins, you will unlock a customization item for The Huntress

- Once you have enough Golden Coins, you will unlock a customization item for David King

- Keep collecting coins: even if you have unlocked the customizations

- The Red Envelope Offering is only playable during the Lunar event

FEATURES & CONTENT

-  Added new menu and lobby aesthetics for the Lunar New Year event

- Added support for the Howling Grounds event (see the details in the event objective section)

- Added a Difficulty Rating for all Survivors and Killers and updated the character descriptions to better help our newer players

- Added a tutorial pop-up when entering a new menu for the first time. For expert players,

these can be easily dismissed using the ‘Hide All Tutorials’ checkbox.

BALANCE

Killer Changes

- Adjusted the sound of the static when shocked by The Doctor

- Fixed an issue that allowed Survivor to use the Map item while in Madness Tier III.

This was a design change made back in Doctor Cube (1.6.2), and was only applied to the healing/repairing interactions.

Now all items cannot be used (auras reading, firecrackers, flashlights, healing, repairing/sabotaging) when needing to Snap Out Of It.

- Fixed an issue that made it impossible to rescue a dying survivor with a pallet/flashlight save

while being picked up or dropped mid animation. Now, the pick up/drop animation will play fully, followed by the flashlight/pallet stun.

- Fixed an issue that prevented The Nurse from getting stunned by a pallet during her blink. If a pallet is pulled on her,

she will get stunned after her blink is complete.

- Reworked the Pig’s Rite of the Ungrateful Daily Ritual: It now requires to land 4 successful

- Dash attacks with the Pig for 30 000 Bloodpoints.

- Reworked the values of three Score Events for the Pig:

A Successful Hit after an Ambush Dash gives 250 Bloodpoints (instead of 200).

Starting an Ambush Dash gives 50 Bloodpoints (instead of 100)

Perk Changes

- Borrowed Time modification: Only the survivor being unhooked

 will be protected by Borrowed Time and Borrowed Time is no longer a single use perk.

We will monitor the usage of this perk and its function before doing further changes to Borrowed Time.

Text change is currently only updated in English.

BUG FIXES

- Fixed an issue that allowed The Nightmare to put Survivor to sleep when they were hiding in a locker

BALANCE

- Adjusted the level requirements for unlocking perk slots. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th perk slots now unlock at levels 5/10/15 respectively (down from 15/20/25)

- Adjusted the red aura intensity for killers on totems, bear traps, hooks and generators.

- All characters now start with their 3 personal perks unlocked by default (at level 1)

- Changed hook auras to always be visible from the Killer’s standpoint while carrying a survivor.

Prior to this change, hook auras would only be displayed if the hook was hidden behind another object.

- Decreased the Wraith flashlight uncloak stun time from 4 seconds to 3 seconds

- Decreased the range of activation for the Killer pick up interaction

- Fixed an issue that caused The Wraith’s red stain and terror radius to remain for several seconds after successfully cloaking.

This change gives the Wraith the bit of a boost that he needs, and also applies when damaging generators and destroying pallets.

- Removed the acceleration curve when the Survivor was hit by the Killer.

Removing the acceleration curve should allow the Survivors to use their default acceleration and have more control over their character during the speed boost.

- Removed the possibility of spawning the Doctor or the Hag splinters in the Bloodweb because these characters can now be purchased for Iridescent Shards.

Map Adjustments

- Added a few totem spawn points in the buildings of Macmillan Estate

- Adjusted Torment Creek and Rancid Abattoir map layouts to create more distance between the maze tiles

- Changed the number of hooks for each map to be based on its number of tiles (Total Tile Count / 3)

- Improved totem placement in various maps

- Pallet loops in the maps of Macmillan Estate, Autohaven Wreckers and Coldwind Farm themes have been tweaked in order to increase their fun factor

- Relaxed the default Survivor-on-Survivor spawning rules in order to minimize the occurrence of killers spawning close to survivors.

- Updated pallets within Badham, Hospital and „map“ The Game to use procedural distribution system. This should result in a more fair pallet generation.

Iridescent Shards

- Shards are now obtained by leveling up your Player Level

- The maximum cap for the Shards has been removed

- Shrine of Secrets teachable perk costs have been increased to 2700/2000 (previously at 750/550).

Note that the Shrine of Secrets will remain empty until this update is released on all platforms.

- Shrine can now be used to purchase certain characters and cosmetics from the Store, in addition to purchasing teachable perks from the Shrine of Secrets.

The amount of Bloodpoints received when purchasing an already owned Teachable Perk from the Shrine has been reduced to 200000 / 150000 (from 250000 / 200000) for new and old perks respectively

Sollte ein Spieler während des Ladebildschirms die Verbindung verlieren oder es zu einem Spielabsturz kommen,

dann wird das Match abgesagt. In dem Fall behalten sowohl Killer als auch Überlebende ihre Gegenstände, Addons und Opfergaben.

- Der Farm-Perk wurde angepasst: Eine besonders erwähnenswerte Änderung fand am Perk „We’re gonna live forever“ (Wir werden ewig leben) durchgeführt.

FEATURES & CONTENT

- Feature: Added the ability to rotate characters in the lobby.

BALANCE

Gameplay:

- All Killer swing animations have been modified to match the distance at which they can hit a survivor.

This was done to help mitigate situations where a Killer would hit a survivor but their weapon/ hand would not look like it was reaching the Survivor.

- In addition to Killer swing animations matchin

- G their hit distance we have also added swing VFX to mitigate when hits looked like they should have missed targets when in fact they found a target and hit.

(There will be more work done to make hits look better when they connect)

- Added stun VFX for Killers when hit by pallets.

- Survivors will now turn their heads where their camera is looking.

This happens when a Survivor interacts with an object in the environment and when they are not downed or incapacitated.

- Adjusted fast vault conditions: Players can no longer trigger fast vaults when beside windows or in contact with the wall.

Art adjustments:

- Adjusted certain darker cosmetics that gave players an advantage to be lighter. 

- Re-worked some characters hair.

- Adjusted Killer Instinct VFX to remove red fill effect, increase frequency of pulse, add an offset to where symbol is displayed, modified the scaling of the symbol to stay more consistent.

These changes also affect the Killer power, Feral Frenzy, of The Legion.

Audio adjustments:

- Adjusted the chase volume for Survivors.

Map changes:

- Removed the RNG factor from the window setups in the rooms of Lery's Memorial Institute; each small room now spawns with the same window configuration. 

- Edge Object repopulation pass in The MacMillan Estate maps, there are more obstacles in between the map tiles now. 

- Introduced new maze tiles for the Yamaoka Estate theme.

Survivor Emblem changes:

Added events for Lightbringer emblem scoring:

- 20 points for cleansing a dull totem.

- 5 points if a dull totem is cleansed while you are in a chase.

- 10 points if a Hex totem is cleansed while you are in a chase.

- 1/3 point for each 1% of a generator repaired while you are in a chase (Capped to a maximum of 33.3 scored for each generator).

Added event for Benevolent emblem scoring:

- 10 points for sabotaging a hook within 10 meters of a Killer carrying a Survivor, if the carried Survivor then wiggles free.

Added event for Evader emblem scoring:

- 50 points for stunning the Killer with a pallet.

Survivor perk changes:

- Streetwise: Increased efficiency values to 15%/20%/25% up from 10%/12%/15%.

- Windows of Opportunity: Reduced cooldown values to 30/25/20 seconds down from 60/50/40.

- Mettle of Man: We have changed the condition for getting tokens. It is no longer for being hit by a Killer's basic attack. Instead earn tokens by taking "Protection Hits".

It still requires 3 tokens to activate. Survivors will still need to be injured in order to trigger the Endurance effect and avoid being put into the dying state.

This means that Mettle of Man will require more work from the Survivor to trigger Mettle of Man's Endurance status effect.

- An awake Survivor can wake up a sleeping Survivor.

- Survivors can wake up by failing skill checks.

Dream Abilities

Dream Snares:

- Dream Snares slow and reveal a Survivors location.

- Only effective and visible towards Sleeping Survivors.

- Killers start with 8 tokens, each Snare costs 1 token to place. Only 8 traps can be placed at one time.

Dream Projection:

- Channel the ability to create a husk of The Nightmare at the targeted generator, complete the channel to take the position of the husk.

Can be cancelled.

- For each sleeping Survivor gain a 15% cool down reduction on Dream Projection.

Updated Auras: Patch 4.1.0 introduced a brand new aura system with new aura visuals.

While we received positive feedback regarding their style, the consensus seems to be that they were not sufficiently visible, especially for small objects, at long range or in bright environments.

- Improved visual feedback for Showstopper's cooldown after Main Event has ended

- Improved the Laceration Meter UI readability around the Survivor portraits
