Aim Assist

- Aim point should no longer switch from a hunters center mass to his head on its own.

- Decreased the radius around Hunter’s center mass in which the aim point can „snap“ during the transition to ADS.

- An Officer Carbine variant with a Deadeye scope.

- Reduced shoulder aim accuracy due to the mounted scope.

- Recoil is harder to control in ADS due to increased zoom.

New Legendary Weapons

Vagrant

- Legendary Winfield M1873C Silencer

- A vagrant known as the tin-man rattled around the city with a large bag of cans, harmless until a malicious Hunter threw them into the bay.

Able to save but a few, he decorated his Winfield M1873C Silencer with the remainder, and set out for revenge – silent as a whisper.

Death Letter

- Legendary M1895 Nagant Officer Brawler

- Death pens no warning of His coming, and for Hunters and soldiers alike, the sound of gunfire is the only correspondence foretelling their demise.

 This Nagant’s personalized engraving appears to reference an old Civil War ballad written by one who would later become a Hunter – delivering his own dark tidings with each deadly shot, death incarnate.

DeSalle’s Silence

- Legendary Sparks LRR Silencer

- The favored Sparks LRR of the elder DeSalle brother, a man whose business ventures would not have been as successful without the occasional enforced silence.

- Explosion delay decreased to ~0.5s (previously ~1.5s).

Melee changes – Hatchet, Talon, Heavy Knife & Machete

- Slightly changed the attack angle of the Hatchet and Talon attachments to ensure hits are more reliable.

Officer Carbine

- Slightly Increased the recoil of the Nagant Officer Carbine.

Antidote shots

- Antidote shots no longer reduces the damage taken from poison-based attacks (e.g spider bounce, stings from the Hive Swarms

- Poison cloud damage remains unchanged and will reduce damage by 100%

Aim Assist (Consoles Only)

- Increased aim assist strength for Water Devils

​Hunter

Trait Rework: Ghoul

- New description: “Killing grunts at close range restores a small amount of health”.

- Radius of 25m, similar to Necromancer and Serpent traits.

- Health will be granted only if you instigate the damage, you do not have to land the killing blow to benefit from the health gain.

- Restores 5hp per kill.

- Price increased to 7 points (this is subject to change based on test server feedback).

Interaction Outlines

- Option added to the menu to allow you to customize the highlighting outlines of interactable items (doors, windows, etc.)

- This option does not alter the UI prompts from showing in the top right corner of the screen when in range of an interactable object.

The options are as follows:

- All: Current behaviour: all interactable object are outlined frequently.

- None: Turn of fall outlines for interactable objects and partner outlines.

- Exclude Door and windows: Similar to “all”, but doors and windows will no longer be highlighted (does not affect other interactable objects)

Bounty Hunt

Banishing a Boss

- Initiating the banishing process with now restore all lost health chunks as well as replenishing all your health.

Dark Sight Boost

- Investigating a clue while carrying a bounty token will now restore 1 second of Dark Sight Boost.

We hope this will encourage Hunters to be more inclined to run the gauntlet if there is a second target.

Extraction Points

- Changes made to ensure that all extraction points will not spawn next to each other. One extraction point will always be at least 500m away from the other two.

Meta Unlock Rank Changes

- Duster is now available at Rank 1 (previously Rank 20).

- Spyglass is now available at Rank 1 (previously Rank 24).

- Machete is now available at rank 24 (previously Rank 12).

- Nagant M1895 Officer is now available at Rank 12 (previously Rank 36).

- Winfield M1873 is now available at Rank 20 (previously Rank 42).

Faster Progression: XP Overspill for Equipment Unlocks

Neues Ping-System implementiert

Solospieler können lediglich auf Servern spielen, die für ihre Verbindung am passendsten sind. Wollen sie zu einem anderen Standort wechseln, muss ein Freund sie einladen.

General gameplay changes

- Player Spawn improvement: There is now a minimum distance between spawning players of 110m on DeSalle.

This avoids some unfair spawn configurations and allows us to place more spawn points in general. This currently only affect spawns in DeSalle as the earlier maps already have larger distances between the spawns.

- When punching an open door to close it, it will now smash through all the way to the other side 180°. If a player is in the way, they might take up to 50 HP damage.

Highlights

- New Consumable: Stalker Beetle

Activation

- The Stalker Beetle is activated by throwing them anywhere similar to a dynamite stick or a decoy

- Throwing the Beetle starts a transition into its own camera view

- While the Beetle is alive, the controlling Hunter cannot move or perform any actions.

Controls

- The Beetle’s camera is permanently using Dark Sight, but with a slightly increased view distance.

- The Beetle’s Dark Sight will not consume Dark Sight Boost the Hunter might have and does not highlight enemy Hunters.

- The Beetle has two control schemes:

Absolute (Default):

Movement input applies only horizontally.

Altitude can be changed via analogue triggers (controller) or dedicated buttons (keyboard).

Relative:

Movement input applies relative to the camera and changes altitude depending on orientation.

Altitude controls can be used for additional adjustments.

- Stalker Beetles cannot land and stay airborne constantly.

- The Beetle can be deactivated to return to the ground or detonated to cause a small explosion.

Stalker Beetles will also be deactivated by the controlling Player receiving damage/dying, exposure to a Choke Cloud, or touching water.

The Player returns to their own perspective after deactivating the Beetle. Any Player can pick up a deactivated Stalker Beetle on the ground.

The explosion will cause 5 damage to Hunters, applies Poison, applies Medium Bleeding, and destroys objects like lamps and glass pane windows.

Additionally, objects like traps and cranks will be triggered; barricaded doors and window shutters will be opened if the explosion is on the “correct” side.

- The Beetle has a range of 150m. When it exceeds this distance, an “Out of Range” warning will be displayed with a 10 second countdown.

The Beetle will be deactivated if the 10s expires while still out of range.

- The Stalker Beetle is highly vulnerable and will die to a single bullet or melee attack. When killed, there is no explosion, and it is no longer able to be picked up.

Other

- Players can Ping from the Beetle’s perspective.

- Traits: Three traits have been updated at this time to include the Stalker Beetle. The effects of Blade Seer, Poison Sense, and Vigilant will also apply in the Stalker Beetle’s sight.

- Proximity Warnings: Stalker Beetles will trigger all warning effects, as a Hunter would.

This includes red clue warnings, boss whisper warnings, and extraction warnings. Additionally, enemy Stalker Beetles will show up as a small orange visual effect in Boosted Dark Sight.

The Stalker Beetle cannot block the extraction timer when close to extraction points.

- Audio: While flying, Stalker Beetles produce a new, unique sound that is linked to their velocity.

The faster the Beetle is flying, the louder the sound. Beetles should be able to disguise their presence in gun fights but heard when the environment is quieter.

- Environment: Stalker Beetles interact with the environment, as if they are a Hunter.

They will startle close-by monsters, make noise on hanging chains (and any other prop they touch), startle crows and horses, and trigger traps they touch (killing the Beetle).

- Hive swarms can now be killed by Fusees and Flare Pistols.

Improved Underground System

Fighting close to an underground entry:

- Previously, sounds that were produced underground were completely muffled, even close to an entry. The new system should behave more realistically and will take the distance to the underground entry into account.

- The new system will reflect how “deep” a sound is inside now. With the sound being more muffled the “deeper” it is.

Distant behavior of sounds played underground:

- All sounds (including gunshots and explosions) will be inaudible outside of the underground above 150m.

- This applies in the reverse as well; all sounds produced outside the underground are muted above 150m.

Audio Mixing Changes

- Dynamite Stick explosions are now quieter, at distance.

Gunplay

Caldwell Pax Claw

- The Pax Claw now deals the same damage as the Knife, at the cost of additional stamina drain.

Caldwell Conversion Uppercut

- Explosive ammo on the Uppercut can now headshot enemy Hunters at short to medium ranges (approximately 35m).

Compact Ammo Rifles

Compact ammo rifles now have an increased effective range, including custom ammo.

Winfield 1873

- Base and all variants are now 150m effective range (193m with FMJ).

Winfield 1873C

- Base and Marksman are now 150m effective range (193 with FMJ).

Two-slot Ammo Weapons

- The Romero 77 Alamo cannot use two ammo types and does not benefit from half price, even though it is in the Romero 77 unlock tree.

- The health regeneration cooldown will no longer be reset once the “poison” effect wears off and health regen will begin instantly.

Trait Changes

- Conduit: In addition to its current effect, Conduit now grants 5 minutes of stamina when picking up a clue or bounty token.

- Ghoul: The range and type of monster is no longer limited. Any kill to any monster (including the boss targets) at any range will result in a small health gain.

Cocoon – New Lootable

- The Cocoon is a new lootable that can spawn on walls throughout the map. Currently, it will only provide a Stalker Beetle.

- here are a few locations on each map where cocoons are permanently nested; the Beetles prefer larger trees.

- Like Toolboxes, the Cocoon will provide two items when used with the Packmule trait.

Brand New Scripted Tutorial

- This update introduces a complete overhaul of our new-player onboarding experience. Hunters are now introduced to the unique gameplay of Bounty Hunt through two new Tutorials:

Combat Log Changes

- With this new update, damage history has been implemented. You can now see up to 90 seconds of activity before your demise, so you can work out how you were killed and how to do better next time.

There will also be extra detail added, including what weapon was used, applied status effects, changes to the health bar, if it was a headshot or wall bang, etc.

Solo Player Improvements

- This update adds additional solo-only conditional effects to select Traits to help those who dare to take on teams of Hunters alone in the bayou.

- Not only does Necromancer's self-revive from Devil's Moon receive a comeback, but there are also several other Traits that give benefits to Hunters who go in solo. We are also slightly increasing the bonus for extracting with the Bounty as a solo player.

New Wildcard Contracts

- We're testing out a new Wildcard Contract. If you select the Wildcard Contract in update 1.12, you will be taken to a separate queue of Hunters wanting to enter the bayou and play in the Night Time of Day.

New Lootable Saddles

- We're bringing a new loot option to the world of Hunt! Lootable saddles are new additions that can be found on hitching posts or strapped to dying horses.

These saddles can have a weapon holster and/or a saddle bag attached to them, allowing Hunters to get their hands on weapons, consumables, or Hunt Dollars.

General Audio Improvements

- Interacting with spotlights around the maps now has a sound.

- Adjusted the sound of the wooden indoor levels. Footsteps above the player in wooden buildings should now be more easily differentiated to a Hunter moving on the same level as the player.

- Crouching through cans and trash piles is now audible to an enemy in very close proximity.

Gameplay

Left-side Peek Advantage

- Adjustments were made to the location of the Hunter model in relation to the camera, reducing the advantage gained from peeking from the left side of cover.

This adjustment focuses specifically on how much of a Hunter’s head is shown when peeking, meaning that there can, in some edge cases, still be slightly more of a Hunter’s body showing, depending on the situation.

 Stalker Beetle

- Increased Stalker Beetle explosion damage to 25.

Quickplay

- Interacting with a Rift now shows the rewarded Trait on the right side of the screen for better readability.

Lootable Saddles

- In this update, we are adding a new loot option. Lootable saddles are new additions that can be found on hitching posts or strapped to the dying horse sound trap.

 These saddles can have a weapon holster and/or saddle bag attached to them. The weapon holster will contain weapons frequently carried by horse riders.

The saddle bag will either contain consumables or Hunt Dollars when looted. Lootable saddles spawn in both Bounty Hunt and Quickplay.

 In Quickplay, the Hunt Dollar reward for the saddle bags is replaced by an ammo replenishment.

- The growing popularity of the Winfield M1876 Centennial throughout the country brought a wide range of users who desired more flexible versions of the rifle.

It’s well suited for hunting multiple monsters in a small area with speed and subtlety but requires some deft handling.

Weapon Changes

- LeMat Carbine: There has seen a couple of tweaks based on the community's feedback. Its rate of fire has been increased a bit to make it put up more of a fight.

Hand Crossbow Choke Bolts

Progression Update

Bloodline

- All weapon unlocks have been removed from the Bloodline. All base weapons now unlock at Rank 1. Weapon variants and custom ammo are unlocked with XP.

- All Tools and Consumables now unlock exclusively through the Bloodline Rank Progression. Tool and Consumable families have been broken up and no longer depend on one another for unlocks.

- Hunt Dollar rewards in the Bloodline have roughly doubled.

XP thresholds for Bloodline Ranks have been adjusted, with the overall XP required to reach Bloodline Rank 100 slightly reduced.

- To improve visibility, 3 Legendary Weapon skins that were free in the Bloodbond store

(Vanguard, Hedera Mortiferum, and Bear’s Tooth) are now Bloodline rewards for reaching Ranks 34, 67, and 100 respectively.

These are unlocked the first time you complete the Bloodline Progression.

XP Balance Changes

- XP earned from Hunter kills has been standardized to 450 XP. Previously, XP per kill ranged from 300 to 550 XP, depending on the MMR of the player you killed.

- XP awarded from certain AI kills has been increased:

Grunt: Increased to 20 from 10 XP.

Hellhound: Increased to 30 from 20 XP.

Hive: Increased to 60 from 30 XP.

Immolator: Increased to 60 from 50 XP.

Meathead: Increased to 300 from 200 XP.

- Players no longer share Weapon Progression XP with their teammates.

- Excess XP now overflows from one goal to the next. Previously, any XP earned in excess of a goal’s threshold was lost.

Weapon Family XP

- A weapon's ammo type now determines the amount of XP required for each unlock in its family.

As a rule, all unlocks in a weapon family require the same amount of XP.

Each unlock in a Compact Ammo weapon family requires 450 XP.

Each unlock in a Medium, Shotgun, and Special Ammo weapon family requires 600 XP.

Each unlock in a Long Ammo weapon family requires 900 XP.

For weapons with variants of different ammo types, like the Uppercut in the Caldwell Conversion family,

the XP required to unlock the Long Ammo variants is that of the new ammo type—in this case, 900 XP.

For weapons which use multiple ammo types, like the LeMat Mark II, the XP required to unlock shotgun Special Ammo remains the same as its primary ammo type—in this case, Compact Ammo, 450 XP.

Weapon Inspection

The second batch of Weapon Inspect animations is here! This batch includes all rifles and shotguns, as well as their variants and Legendary versions

Triggering the action can be done by pressing the 'Weapon Inspect' input. The default bindings for supported platforms are:

- PC: 'I' (can be customized like other PC inputs)

- XBOX: Y (when the Weapon Wheel is open)

- PS: 'Triangle' (when the Weapon Wheel is open)

Once triggered, any Inspect animation can be instantly interrupted by most other gameplay actions (aiming, attacking, quick-swap, etc.).

New Controller Behavior

Input Curves

Input curves describe how the stick input is translated to camera rotation.

We have added four new options for players to tweak the responsiveness of their aim input. Check the menu for detailed descriptions.

It is now possible to set the threshold after which Aim Boost is applied.

Vibration

Controller vibration has been improved, and its strength has been reduced to create better contrast between key and secondary actions. Changes include:

- Added vibration support to the Bomb Lance, melee weapons, dual wield pistols, and throwables.

- Reduced vibration from status effects.

- Moved vibration from jump action to landing.

- Other minor adjustments to vibration.

Traits

Two previous Event Traits are returning as permanent Burn Traits.

They can now be found in the world, either dropped from Meatheads or by chance as a Trait Spur.

- Death Cheat: You will not lose your Hunter if you fail to extract, but equipment and missing Health Chunks will not be restored.

- Relentless: Your Hunter will not lose a Health Chunk when downed.

Gunplay

ADS Improvements

- Shooting can no longer be interrupted by entering Dark Sight.

- Bounty Icons are now hidden while in ADS.

- Weapon swapping is no longer possible while in ADS.

Balancing Changes

- When reloading the Drilling, all three barrels are now reloaded (bullets and shells).

- Reduced the recoil for the Mosin-Nagant M1891 Obrez, the Mosin-Nagant M1891 Obrez Mace, and the Mosin-Nagant M1891 Obrez Drum.

- Slightly increased the cycle time for dual wielding with the LeMat Mark II.

- Improved the LeMat Mark II and LeMat Mark II UpperMat shotgun to be in line with the Rival Handcannon.

- Decreased the sway for the Winfield M1873C Vandal Deadeye and the Springfield 1866 Compact Deadeye.

- Decreased the spread for the Dolch 96 while being dual wielded.

- Increased the muzzle velocity for the LeMat Mark II weapon family:

LeMat Mark II muzzle velocity increased to 375 m/s from 300 m/s.

- Increased the Derringer Pennyshot extra ammo by 2.

Gameplay

- Flare Pistol, Fusees, Starshell Ammo, and Dragonsbreath Ammo can now ignite downed and dead Hunters.

- While carrying a Bounty Token, an orange glow will show in Dark Sight if enemy Hunters are within 75m.

The effect triggers regardless of the amount of Dark Sight Boost.

- Increased the Poison Bomb cloud duration to 8 minutes from 5 minutes.

- Reduced the light melee stamina consumption of the Heavy Knife to 9 from 15.

- Hunters now have increased control over the camera during the vault animation.

- Lightfoot no longer silences the jumping sound. Each jump is now audible, with or without Lightfoot.

- Reduced the heavy melee damage of the Baseball Bat to prevent one-shot killing Immolators. The damage against enemy Hunters has not changed.

- Increased the heavy melee damage for the Railroad Hammer and Sledgehammers found in-world.

- Choke clouds no longer trigger Bear Traps.

- Decoy Fuses now create a small explosion which can destroy windows and doors. Doors require multiple Decoy Fuses to be destroyed.

- Increased the Shovels found in-world's heavy melee damage and reduced the light melee stamina consumption.

- Decreased the Pitchforks found in-world's light and heavy melee stamina consumption.

- Added a 5s delay before Regeneration starts to the Regeneration Shot and Regeneration Shot (Weak).

- Weapon Charm movement range and sway have been reduced.

Gun Oil & Blueprint changes

- Gun Oil now grants the next available unlock in the weapon family the user currently has equipped OR a random available unlock (respecting unlock order) if the player’s equipped weapon family is completed.

- Blueprints now provide 3 random unlocks (respecting unlock order) from any weapon family.

- Both items now spawn exclusively at workbenches, a new world entity that appears in every compound.

Traits

Several Traits with similar functionalities have been merged into new or updated Traits.

Any updated or changed Traits currently equipped on Hunters will be automatically switched to their new or updated equivalents, or refunded as Upgrade Points.

- Scopesmith: Deadeye Scopesmith, Marksman Scopesmith and Sniper Scopesmith have been merged into a single, new Trait that is compatible with all scoped weapon variants. Cost: 2 Upgrade Points.

- Steady Aim: Steady Aim and Steady Hand have been merged into a single, updated Trait. Cost: 2 Upgrade Points.

- Iron Eye: Iron Devastator, Iron Repeater, and Iron Sharpshooter have been merged into a single, new Trait. Cost: 3 Upgrade Points.

- Hundred Hands: Hundred Hands and Dewclaw have been merged into a single, updated Trait. Cost: 2 Upgrade Points.

- Assailant: Assailant and Tomahawk have been merged into a single, updated Trait. Cost: 1 Upgrade Point.

- Lightfoot has decreased to 5 Upgrade Points from 6.

Bounty Hunt Recruits Changes

General

- Tier 1-3 Recruits have been reworked and are now presented as better deals out of the box, with more meaningful equipment and Traits that support their respective gear.

- Based on the player’s Bloodline Rank, available Hunter Recruits are now more closely linked to the current tier.

Only upon reaching Tier 2 (Rank 34+) and Tier 3 (Rank 67+) will higher-tiered Recruits become available.

Equipment and Traits

- Weapons now have a higher chance of being directly supported by 1 assigned Trait.

- Even though all base weapons can now be purchased directly from the Arsenal, certain expensive weapons are withheld from Tier 1 Recruits.

- All Recruits now come with 2 random Consumables and 3 Tools:

Legendary Hunters

- The Legendary Hunters recruitment cost has been decreased to 100 Hunt Dollars from 200.

- Legendary Hunters now receive 3 Traits when recruited.

 Up to two Traits can be tailored towards a specific playstyle—for example, Sniper—while the third Trait is completely random.

- The combined value of all three Traits on a Legendary Hunter should ideally reach a sum of 7 Upgrade Points at minimum.

 If the three Traits do not add up to reach this value, the difference is assigned directly to the Hunter in Upgrade Points and can be used as usual.

It is possible that the three Traits can total a higher value than 7; in this case, no extra Upgrade Points are assigned to the Hunter.

Running Low on Hunt Dollars

- Free Recruits are now only offered when your Hunt Dollar balance drops below 20,000.

The lower the account balance, the higher the number of Free Recruits there will be offered in the next reshuffle.

- If there are no Hunters in a player’s Roster, Free Recruits can be reshuffled an unlimited amount of times.

- If your Hunt Dollar balance drops below a threshold of 2,000 and you are about to make a purchase of 500 Hunt Dollars or more, a pop-up window will appear warning you that you are running low on money.

UI

- Two counters have been added to the Book of Weapons to help players track the number of unlocked entries.

"Total entries unlocked" show the unlocks of all existing entries. All items unlocked on Bloodline Rank 1 are already considered.

"Weapons Bibliophage entries unlocked" is the number of entries (50) needed to unlock the Achievement / Trophy "Weapons Bibliophage."

Entries that are automatically unlocked at Bloodline Rank 1 due to the Progression change are not considered; only manually unlocked entries count.

This counter is generally intended to help you keep track of your progress when working to unlock "Weapons Bibliophage."

Updated Book of Weapons entries to be ordered alphabetically.

- Updated Roster -> Equipment entries for Tools and Consumables to be ordered alphabetically.

- Removed display of Rank 1 unlocks from the Progress tab.

- Updated Spectator Mode text and default keys.

- Players can now customize Spectator Mode keybinds without creating conflicts with other keybinds.

World

Rule of Two Changes

- The Rule of Two has been removed from Cash Registers, Envelopes, Purses, Traits, Blueprints, and Gun Oil.

 Moving forward, these objects will not disappear after two uses; they will remain in the world and can be interacted with once by each Hunter.

Generators

- All Generators have been removed from all maps. The entry in the Manual that mentions the Generators has also been removed accordingly.

 Now the electric lights in each compound will have a percentage chance to be on when a Mission starts, on certain Times of Day.

These Times of Day are Night, Serpent Night, and Ash Bloom. When on, the only way to turn off the electric lights is to shoot them.

Workbenches

- Workbenches are new in-world entities that appear in every compound.

They have a chance to spawn Gun Oil, a Blueprint, Hunt Dollar or Blood Bond pouches, and specific weapons.

 Gun Oil and Blueprints now spawn exclusively at workbenches.

Any weapons spawned at Workbenches are variants, not base weapons – IE: Silencer, Bayonet, etc.

- The speed of all elevators has doubled, resulting in increased usefulness in specific situations.

KNOWN ISSUES

- In some cases, weapons will come out of ADS randomly.

- In some cases, players may experience desync when walking along edges or slopes.

- In some cases, using ladders can teleport players or cause them to become stuck in other assets.

- Poison effects from the hive and spider can persist even after their intended duration.

- In some cases, when first starting the game, Hunters in the lobby may not load in correctly (only parts of the hunter are visible).

- In some cases, an incorrect/placeholder death screen will appear when your hunter has been burned out (lost all health chunks to fire).

- In some rare cases, dragon breath ammo can cause a player to burn immediately after being killed.

- In some cases, when attempting to loot a hunter, a message can appear saying “Ammo full” which will prevent you from looting.

- Quickplay: Picking up a small weapon while performing a switch to a larger weapon results in swapping the wrong item.

- In some cases, activating a filter in the weapons screen will still show all weapons rather than the selected option.

- Opening the map while moving the mouse to the left will cause your hunter to spin in place while the map is open.

- Concertina wire can damage players through walls.

- In some cases, if you are unable to loot a weapon it is because the client registers that it fell in a different place than is shown on the screen.

- In some cases, switching to another weapon (looting) can result in the dropped weapon falling under the floor.

- In some cases, crows may react to player noise later than intended. If there is a lot of occlusion between you and the crows, they can also be hard to hear.

- In some cases, cancelling a reload will cause you to melee instead of shoot in cases where the right mouse button is held down.

- In some cases, while in the “waiting for players” screen, it is possible for AI to attack.

- In some cases, the banish state and extraction state can show the incorrect details. This is purely a visual issue. The normal status will continue as intended in the background.

- In some cases, the UI can “hiccup” and may take some time to update meta-actions (buying/equipping/hiring hunters).

- In some cases, when an enemy hunter survives a headshot from explosive ammo the “death from a headshot” audio can still be heard.

- In some cases, killing a hunter right after they have been revived will cause them to drop the unselected weapon.

- In some cases, the tabs in the main menu might not appear if you have a slow connection to the backend. Restarting the client should help with this.

- In some cases, the Butcher bounty token can spawn below floors or stairs prevent you from collecting it.
